The Association of Korean Sociologists in America (AKSA) is a non-profit organization that aims to foster scholarly inquiry related to Korean Americans and Korean society to advance knowledge in Sociology, and to support its members for professional development and well-being by promoting networking, mentoring and collaborative relationships.
 
To achieve these goals, the AKSA organizes annual conferences one day ahead of the start of the annual meeting of the American Sociological Association (ASA). The AKSA annual meetings serve as a venue for Korean scholars to share their latest research on Korean society and Koreans abroad with sociologists from all around the world.
